Getting Started with Native Plants at Home (#2)

Description: Do you want to support pollinators and sustainable ecosystems, but aren't sure how to get started? Do you want to get rid of your lawn or parkway and replace it with native plants that will be better for the environment? Do you lack a yard but still want to learn how to grow native plants in a container?
If so, this is the event for you! We will be featuring presentations from Red Stem Native Landscapes and Vivant Gardening Services. The event will also have a community meet and greet portion where you can check in and buy ice cream from Bartleby’s.

Solar and Electrification Options for Owners & Renters
When: Wednesday, April 15th, 5:30 - 7:30 PM
Where: Sulzer Public Library, 4455 N Lincoln Ave
Description: Do you want to switch to renewable energy sources but feel like you can't because you're a renter? Are you interested in reducing your reliance on natural gas by electrifying your home? Have you heard about plug-in solar and want to know more?
If so, this is the event for you! We will be featuring presentations from experts at Citizens Utility Board (CUB) and the Electric Home Company. You will learn about rooftop solar install, community solar, and plug-in solar, PLUS how to reduce your carbon footprint by electrifying your home! At the end, we will offer an opportunity for attendees to take direct action on making plug-in solar more accessible to Illinois residents.
