Description: Do you like making a huge difference in the community, meeting cool new people, and being rewarded with a free lunch?!?! Then you should definitely sign up for our cleanup group’s16th Street Cleanup! We're collaborating with 25th Ward Alderman Byron Sigcho Lopez, whose office will be providing the lunch afterward. Sustainable Events Collective Beach Sweep (and Presentation)
Date and Time: Tuesday, July 14th, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Meeting Location: Colvin House (Edgewater), 5940 N Sheridan Road
Cleanup Location: Kathy Osterman Beach
Description: We are joining SEC for their annual beach sweep, along with additional educational and engagement opportunities! In the morning, we will meet at Colvin House, where we will indulge in some light morning refreshments and an educational discussion on the impact of beach clean-ups. Katherine Tellock from Chicago Environmentalists will be speaking at this event, as well as a representative from Urban Rivers. Then we will hop into action and walk over to Kathy Osterman Beach to start our sweep!

Description: Chicago Climate Week is a community-driven effort to connect, celebrate, and accelerate climate action happening across our region. It brings together people and organizations from across sectors to share ideas, build relationships, and highlight the work already underway in our communities. This year, Chicago Environmentalists is supporting the week as a member of the Programming and Engagement Committee, and we are excited to be part of it. 2026 Birthday Party & Fundraiser

Description: Our Birthday Party Fundraiser is back for its second year!!! Get ready for the return of our cornhole tournament, raffle and silent auction of eco products and cool experiences, custom cocktails, and some great NEW activities.
