The Clean-Off Challenge
Date: October 1 - 31
Location: Within the city limits of Chicago, Philly, and Los Angeles
Description: The October Clean-Off is BACK, and now it will be Chicago vs Philly AND Los Angeles! We're going head to head to see which city can collect the most litter in the month of October, and hoping to fly the W for the second year in a row. Participate by joining a group cleanup, creating your own, or going solo. Top litter pickers on the Chicago side will be eligible for prizes. : )

Trashion Revolution: ICONS
Date: Saturday, October 10th, show starts at 7 PM, doors open at 5:30 PM
Location: Narcissus Room at Macy’s, 111 North State Street
Host: Triveni Institute
Description: The fourth-annual Trashion Revolution is a "fashion show with a purpose" designed to start conversations about the climate crisis, intersectional issues and - most importantly - solutions - all while inspiring action. It is produced by a young, Chicago-based nonprofit called Triveni Institute that was founded in late 2021. Trashion Revolution was born in 2023. This year's show is a celebration of the most iconic designs and models to walk our runway over the last three years, plus never-before-seen designs for 2026. All designs are created from post-consumer or post-industrial repurposed/upcycled single-use plastic trash.

Fall Plant-Based Baking Class
When: Tuesday, October 20th, 6 - 8 PM
Where: The Chunky Scone, Highland Park
Description: We’ll be baking some delicious fall-themed items using entirely plant-based ingredients, and learning more about how vegan living reduces your environmental impact. More info coming soon.
